Situation: On 2nd December 2015, torrential downpours devastated Chennai in Tamil Nadu. It took the lives of 500 people and resulted in 1,70,000 casualties. Being the biggest rainfall in 100 years, it led automobile and manufacturing facilities to halt production.
Our support: Our team prepared relief boxes and coupons. Those coupons were distributed among the affected people so that they could exchange the coupons to collect relief boxes at a convenient place. Relief boxes consisted of rice, food items, mineral water, etc. To give courage to the victims, we also invited local politicians and village representatives.
