World Heart Day 2023 Theme

This year 2023, the World Heart Day theme is “Use Heart, Know Heart”, a reminder call to everyone around the world to take care of their hearts. The theme emphasizes the crucial process of getting to know one’s own heart first; because one can only love and protect what they are aware of.

Purpose of the Day

Heart diseases are fatal; hence it is crucial to designate a day for the awareness of heart issues and their cure. This day asks us to list all such activities that are damaging our hearts and leave them at once.

Goal is to stop The World’s Biggest Killer!

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the world’s number one killer. Combined, conditions affecting the heart or blood vessels – such as heart attack, stroke, and heart failure – kill more than 20.5 million every year. The majority of these deaths happen in low- and middle-income countries.

By making small changes to our lifestyle – what we eat and drink, how much we exercise, and how we manage stress – we can better manage our heart health and beat CVD.

The healthcare crisis we have all been living through has highlighted an urgent need to find different and innovative ways to connect people to heart health, particularly in lower resource areas and communities.
